Applications

STI SpecSeal Ready Sleeve Specifications
Ready Sleeve vs. Split Sleeve
Ready Sleeve (Standard): For new installations where cables are not yet installed. Complete sleeve assembly with press-fit end cap design eliminates sharp edges and need for conduit bushings.

Ready Split Sleeve: For retrofit installations around existing cables. Split design allows installation without disconnecting cables. UL tested for larger and irregularly shaped openings.
Kit Contents
Each sleeve kit includes:
• Precut metallic sleeve (0.059" thick zinc-plated steel)
• Mounting escutcheon plates with intumescent gaskets
• Wall labels and installation hardware
• Sufficient putty to seal both ends to 1" depth
• Installation instructions

Performance & Compliance
Testing & Certification: UL tested and Certified per ASTM E814 (UL1479) and CAN/ULC-S115. Systems available for cable penetrations through common wall constructions up to 4 hours and concrete floors up to 3 hours.

Code Compliance: Meets 2015 IBC Section 714.2 and 2018 IBC Section 714.3 sleeve attachment requirements without need for struts or bracing.
Installation & Maintenance
Putty is permanently non-hardening to facilitate removal or addition of cables. After cable changes, reinstall putty to original depth. Only approved SpecSeal materials may be used - no substitutions permitted for UL Certified systems.
