💡 Riser vs. Plenum Rating
FPLR (Riser) is for vertical runs between floors in non-plenum spaces and general fire alarm wiring. Use FPLP (Plenum) for air handling spaces above drop ceilings and HVAC plenums. Riser-rated cable meets UL 1666 flame test vs. NFPA 262 for plenum. Choose based on installation environment and local code requirements.
